Max Bulmer is a Performance Coach at Total Conditioning, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep passion for fitness, movement, and coaching. 

With a background in performing arts and competitive team sports such as rugby and cricket, Max understands the value of fostering an inclusive, engaging, and supportive training environment for both seasoned CrossFit athletes and newcomers alike.

With over ten years of experience as a CrossFit athlete and nine years as a dedicated coach, Max has developed a keen eye for technical movement and precision. His coaching style is rooted in delivering clear, effective instruction while ensuring each member receives the attention they need to progress safely and efficiently.

Beyond the daily Performance classes, Max has extensive experience coaching athletes at high-level competitions, both as individuals and in team settings. One of his standout coaching achievements was guiding an athlete to qualify for the 2019 CrossFit Games—a testament to his expertise and ability to elevate performance under pressure.

Max also leads specialist classes and seminars, particularly in Olympic weightlifting and gymnastics, where he applies his advanced coaching knowledge to refine technique and build strength. His philosophy extends beyond physical performance; he is a firm advocate for maintaining a balanced approach to health and fitness, emphasizing mindset, longevity, and overall well-being over aesthetics alone.
